I perform on the Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, and Eb Clarinet. My main expertise lies in orchestral performance and chamber music but I'm always interested in new opportunities.
Erin Voellinger has a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Performance from the University of Northern Colorado, and a Masters of Music in Clarinet Performance from the Florida State University. She lives in beautiful Park City and is an active performing artist, holding the position of Principal Clarinet with the Ballet West Orchestra. She played a year contract with the Utah Symphony as Acting Associate Principal and Second Clarinet for their 2012-13 season, which was what initially brought her and her husband to the area. She still plays with the Utah Symphony as a substitute/extra and in other ensembles in the Salt Lake area. Before moving to Utah, she held the position of Principal Clarinet with the Boise Philharmonic starting in 2007. Recently, in the summer of 2015, she decided give up the position in favor of living full time in Park City and playing with Ballet West in Salt Lake City. She is pleased to now have the time to become more involved with the local music programs in Park City, and to accept opportunities to perform with new ensembles in the Salt Lake area.
As a teacher, Erin Voellinger has taught all levels of student, including adjunct professor work with the Utah State University, and the Northwest Nazarine University. She is providing private clarinet lessons for students in the Park City area through the Community Education Program and her own private studio.
I teach all levels and ages of students. Starting at the beginning? No problem. Adult learner? Sure thing. College and Professional auditions? I've been there and can help you prepare.
